NEW LAYOUTS!!!

Dogfriol
Gauge: 009 (9mm) in 4mm Scale

A multi-level six track Welsh mountainside series of copper mines near Beddgelert, locally known as ’Mynydd Copr’, within Snowdonia, at the turn of the century.  The model railway has six separate operational tracks one in Hof 6.5mm gauge, four in 009/HOe 9mm on three levels and one in Hon3z a (Zahnradbahn) a 10.5mm a rack railway, all separately controlled providing variable speed control.

A copper mine grotto and lake with lighting shows the depth and manner of copper mining in the area.  The layout was built by Jim & Lyn Owers of the Isle of Wright, and featured in the recent October 2015 Railway Modeller.  This was the second layout taken by Richard & Judy Wallace.

The layout is designed to sit on a 6 foot table, being only 3foot wide by 2foot deep.  Requires a single power supply for operation and lighting, the layout and stock have a insurance value of £1,500.

Lyndon 1870
Gauge: 009 (9mm) in 4mm Scale

Lyndon 1870 portrays a fictitious part of a very congested London city many years ago, with a distinct Dickensian scene, complete with narrow streets and alleyways, horse and carts, drays, hansom cabs, and omnibuses.  There are many people all dressed for the period, plus business premises, shops, storage warehouses and homes, all set in three levels - in all 50 properties, a complete jumble of the period.

Running through is a steam train disappearing into a tunnel beneath the city, to re-appear along the front again.  At a lower level a second steam train runs into a wharf from a tunnel below the city.

Uniquely, a built-in camera captures the train disappearing on a high-level CCTV screen.  History recreated with all the characters of the time - a complete story line in miniature.

The layout was built by Lyn & Jim Owers.  Both well known for their 009 Narrow Gauge layouts, appearing in the Railway Modeller in March 2012, and many exhibitions in the UK.

The GOLDEN PASS
Our new Swiss HOm 12 mm and HO tram layout, built by Dave Hale, now being extended to a 7 metre long by 750 mm, plus a L shaped 2 metre station, operating a range of BEMO models in mostly Rhb, plus other visiting, will include Tillig dual gauge 12 & 16.5 track.
We will extend further with a deep valley, to contain a Ferro rack railway, a Brawa funicular, a 1.2 metre Faller bridge, with both Dc and DCC controls, ready for exhibitions after Easter 2018
